Strawberry and Banana Homemade ‘Ice Cream’

Are you looking for a delicious, but guilt free treat for the hot summer days? These past few days have definitely felt like summer, and this homemade ‘ice cream’ was refreshing.

Whether you are trying to watch your weight or are just trying to eat more wholesome foods and avoid all those extra preservatives and ingredients you can’t pronounce, this is a perfect alternative to store bought ice cream. Oh, and eating something you made yourself ALWAYS tastes better than something you buy!

Ice cream is one of those foods most of us feel guilty about. This is a result of the high fat, sugar, calories, and preservatives sometimes found in it. I believe in everything in moderation, and ice cream is definitely not something you should eat every day. It is more of a treat, but what if you could indulge in it every day. With this three ingredient ‘ice cream’ you can turn ice cream from a treat to an everyday food, without feeling guilty.

You can also substitute your favourite fruit. I find the banana acts as a great base to pair with any fruit. I have also made a Banana and Peanut Butter ‘Ice Cream’ which was fantastic. I have a weakness for peanut butter, natural peanut butter of course, so you will find I put it in a lot of things.
